Bethel Park is a historical suburb of Pittsburgh that has long been the home to many proud citizens—including us! We love the charm and dedicated community that gives it a cozey, close-knit feel.
Here are some majorly awesome things to do in Bethel Park that we’re currently absolutely obsessed with.
Spoonwood Brewing Co.

Spoonwood Brewing Co. is one of Bethel Park’s many gems. With its atmospheric energy, this local brewery and eatery is a hotspot of activity. Their location is situated in a building that has an industrial but homey feel. Games adorn several tables making it not only a great place to hang out with friends but also making it a family friendly location.
During the summer months, their windows open and the space merges perfectly with their spacious back patio. Live bands entertain guests while quaint lights set the scene for a perfect summer evening.
The beer and food is some of the best in the South Hills and is certainly a must-visit destination in the city area. Whether you’re with your family or friends, Spoonwood is certainly a great place to hang out.
South Park
Comprised of over 2,013 acres, South Park is home to much of Bethel Park’s outdoor community. It boasts many amenities that appeal to a wide audience. A wave pool, golf course, skate park, BMX track, deck hockey rink and ballfields are just some of South Park’s treasures.
South Park is home to many free concerts between the months of June and August. On Friday evenings, you can hear the sounds of many local bands with a range of different styles.
Pittsburgh has many beautiful local parks that are definitely worth checking out and South Park is a local favorite.
Montour Trail
Montour Trail is a 46 mile, multi-purpose trail that connects to the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP). GAP extends over 330 miles from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. Part of the trail passes through Bethel Park, making it a local destination for many in the area.
The idea for Montour Trail was first hatched in the 1980’s after a group of bicyclists, railroad enthusiasts, environmentalists and runners decided to form the Montour Trail Council (MTC). Together, with the help of Allegheny County, they worked diligently to transform the abandoned Montour Rail Line into an outdoor enthusiasts paradise.
